When:

• 7 day course either from January 20th-26th OR February 4th-10th - depending on majority preference.

  *Final date decision will be made by December 1st.

Where:

• Piedechinche, Colombia (flying site LZ).

• Airline flight should arrive in Cali, Colombia (Alfonso Bonilla Aragon International Airport CLO).

What:

• Multiple mountain flights per day after we acclimate to the new site.

• Focus on thermal basics and progression.

• Site introduction and cross country (XC) flight planning/goals.

• ‘Reading’ thermals and techniques to fly them.

• Weather observations and appropriate conditions for flying XC.

• Pre/post-flight debriefs and evening recaps/discussions.

• 3D flight track review (recommended to download SeeYouNavigator app).

Included:

• Transportation: From the airport, to the flying site, and into town.

• Rides up to launch.

• Local knowledge (points of interest, restaurants, etc).

• A good time!

Not Included:

• Airline ticket.

• Food/Drink (I will have recommendations).

• Lodging (I can recommend places to stay and help facilitate).

• Vario (Not required but recommended).

Must Have:

• Passport.

• CheckMIG (easily done online for entry into Colombia) ~$35.

• Wing, harness, reserve, handheld HAM radio (Yaesu is recommended).
